Rate Money has appointed Chris Paterson as Head of Sales & Distribution, strengthening its leadership team as the lending specialist continues to expand its support for self-employed Australians and the loan writers who serve them.
Chris brings more than 18 years of financial services experience across non-bank sales, operations, product, distribution and marketing. He joins Rate Money following his role as General Manager, Distribution & Marketing at Resimac, where he led national distribution and marketing initiatives. More recently, Chris contributed to the growth of performance-focused business Run Rocket Run.
Rate Money CEO Ryan Gair said Chris's experience and leadership would play an important role in supporting the company's next phase of growth.
"Chris brings an outstanding combination of industry experience, commercial capability and a genuine focus on people. His track record in building high-performing teams and developing strong industry relationships makes him an excellent addition to our leadership team," Ryan said.
"Our ambition is to keep challenging the market and make it easier for self-employed Australians to access the finance they need. Achieving that means continuing to strengthen our distribution network, giving our people the tools and support to succeed, and ensuring our franchisees and referral partners have compelling solutions for their clients.
"Chris will be instrumental in building the capability of our sales team, creating new opportunities across our distribution channels, and helping our franchisees and referrers grow their businesses."
The appointment comes as Rate Money continues to pursue growth through its focus on providing competitive and flexible lending solutions for borrowers whose income and business structures may not fit traditional lending criteria.
Recent initiatives include the Evolve Easy Doc promotional offer, with rates starting from 6.99% p.a., launched in response to the changing interest rate environment. Rate Money's dollar-for-dollar refinance solution, available to both individual and company borrowers up to 80% LVR and $2.5 million, is another example of its commitment to providing greater flexibility and more options for self-employed clients.
With extensive experience across distribution and partner channels, Chris will focus on strengthening sales capability, developing meaningful relationships across Rate Money's franchise and referral networks, and identifying opportunities to support sustainable growth.
"I'm excited to be joining Rate Money at such an important time for the business," Chris said.
"Rate Money has built a strong position in the market by understanding the needs of self-employed borrowers and taking a different approach to lending. I'm looking forward to working with the team and our partners to build on that foundation, create new opportunities and help more clients achieve their goals."
Chris's appointment reflects Rate Money's ongoing commitment to investing in its people, strengthening its distribution network and delivering specialist lending solutions that meet the evolving needs of Australian business owners.
